We would like to talk with you about Jazz . Music Hall is committed to bringing Jazz to the people of Detroit as a culture, education and historical art form. This commitment combines our performances on our main stage and in the Jazz Café.
Music Hall’s Detroit Jazz Society Jazz Series brings national performers on our intimate stage in our Jazz Café. The Jazz Café provides an acoustically-perfect setting for some of the best Jazz performers in the world! These Friday and Saturday night concerts bring jazz musicians and vocalists from contemporary jazz to historic remembrances. There are over 20 nights represented in the Detroit Jazz Society’s schedule for this season, which runs through May 24th, 2008. The Jazz Café seats 110 people, with many nights enjoying overflow audiences.
There is music and entertainment in the Jazz Café every night of the week, including the Discovery Series on Tuesday and Wednesday nights. There are 125 live shows in the “main” Music Hall which seats 1701, for a total of over 200,000 people passing through the hall.
The demographics for the Jazz Café and the Music Hall are unquestionably educated, upscale and diverse. Our patrons tend to be trend-setters in the community and enjoy the finer things in life.
We at the Music Hall respectfully request your donation, and in return we will achnowledge your donation in the Detroit Jazz Society 2007-08 program.
